Bucheon City announced that it will begin a mutual dispatch training program for public officials as part of its exchange project with Kawasaki City, Japan, starting July 8th for three nights and four days. This training, organized based on the long-standing friendly cooperation between the two cities, aims to enhance the policy capabilities of working-level officials and broaden the foundation for administrative cooperation.
The mutual dispatch training for public officials will involve Bucheon City and Kawasaki City cross-dispatching working-level officials below grade 6 for three nights and four days. The training will focus on experiencing excellent policies from both cities directly on-site and benchmarking administrative cases.
This year's training will be conducted twice: a dispatch training in July and an invitation training in early September. The training program will be operated to enhance practical work understanding through administrative site visits, policy briefings, and working-level workshops between departments, with interpretation support also provided for language communication.
Bucheon City expects this training to serve as an opportunity to expand its international administrative network and enhance the job capabilities of its working-level officials. In particular, it anticipates that practical policy exchanges will bring positive changes to city administration development.
A Bucheon City official stated, "We are very pleased that the mutual dispatch of public officials between sister cities, which was suspended after COVID-19, has resumed. We will continue to engage in working-level exchanges with Kawasaki City and consistently contribute to strengthening public officials' capabilities and discovering excellent policies."
Bucheon City plans to continuously enhance its administrative competitiveness and steadily support the policy development capabilities of its working-level officials through various international exchange programs.
