Gangwon Tourism Organization Operates Sports PR Booth with 1,300 Participants at FC Anyang Home Match

The Gangwon Tourism Organization (CEO Choi Sung-hyun, hereinafter referred to as the Organization) announced that it successfully operated a promotional booth for the '2025–2026 Gangwon Visiting Year', attracting over 1,300 participants at the K League 1 Round 30 match between FC Anyang and Ulsan HD FC held at the Anyang Comprehensive Stadium on September 19 (Saturday).

This event was planned as a field-oriented promotional campaign aimed at drawing metropolitan area K League fans who visited the stadium over the weekend into actual travel to Gangwon, as part of Gangwon-style sports tourism marketing.

At the site, the pedometer challenge event "Run, Gangwon," which challenged participants to achieve a record within 10 seconds, gained immense popularity. Long waiting lines formed even before the match, and home and away fans mingled together to participate in the experience, heightening the on-site atmosphere.

In addition, the organization ran a subscription event for the official social networking service (SNS) of the Gangwon Tourism Organization (@gwto_official) utilizing the 'Gangwon Visiting Year' mobile PR vehicle. This expanded on-site participation to the online sphere, encouraging visitors to continuously access Gangwon tourism information and maintain their interest even after the event.

Choi Sung-hyun, CEO of the Gangwon Tourism Organization, stated, "Through the active participation of metropolitan area soccer fans, we were able to directly confirm the enthusiastic interest in Gangwon tourism," and added, "We will continue to encourage more citizens to visit Gangwon through various sports-linked field marketing initiatives."
