Cheonan City announced on the 1st that it will fully promote its ‘Youth Internship Program’ this year.
The city connects unemployed youth with excellent companies within the region to provide practical internship experience and supports labor costs of up to 2.1 million won per month for a maximum of three months.
The first group of participants in the Youth Internship Program consists of 14 individuals. Having completed their orientation on the 31st of last month, these young people are scheduled to be placed in companies across various sectors, including finance, manufacturing, and design.
The city plans to support a total of 60 young people to participate in the program this year.
Cheonan Mayor Park Sang-don stated, “The Youth Internship Program is more than just job support; it is a valuable stepping stone that helps young people stably enter society and grow together with local businesses. We will continue to expand various support policies so that young people can achieve their dreams and settle down in Cheonan.”
Meanwhile, 64 young people participated in the Youth Internship Program last year, and among them, 51 achieved the success of being converted to permanent positions in local companies.
