INCHEON – South Korean entertainer Harisu has made a shocking confession about the sexual harassment she faced after debuting as a transgender celebrity, revealing she was asked to have sex and take off her clothes to “confirm” her identity. The veteran star shared the difficult experiences during her recent guest appearance on the popular YouTube show, “Pajama Party.”
The episode, which aired on September 10th and focused on pet owners, featured Harisu and choreographer Monica as guests. Harisu, a first-generation transgender celebrity, recalled the immense challenges she faced in the entertainment industry after publicly coming out. During a candid conversation with host Kim Ddol-ddol, she stated that these incidents were common and led her to abandon roles and lose numerous contracts.
The show also delved into the guests' lives as dedicated pet owners. Harisu, who currently cares for 11 dogs, shared the emotional and financial commitment involved. She tearfully recounted spending over 10 million won on veterinary bills after a rescued dog became seriously ill. She also confessed to still suffering from "pet loss syndrome" after the passing of her dog, Bobby, who was with her for 13 years.
Choreographer Monica also shared her journey as a new mother and pet owner. She revealed the difficult decision to temporarily send her two dogs to her in-laws' home out of concern for her four-month-old baby’s health and potential allergies. Monica also emotionally recounted her reunion with a former dog, Samantha, which she described as a moment of "exploding" emotion.
The "Pajama Party" is a talk show hosted by gay creator Kim Ddol-ddol, featuring only female guests in a home-party setting. The show has gained significant attention for its raw and honest conversations with various celebrities.
