ElevenLabs Partners with Caring to Support ‘Senior Emotional Care’ via Voice AI

Voice AI agent expands ‘Emotional Care’ services to fill gaps in elderly care; Pilot projects show 100% participation and extended call durations.

Caring, a leading senior care specialist, has announced the large-scale expansion of its "AI Emotional Care" service following the successful integration of ElevenLabs’ conversational AI agent platform. The move is aimed at establishing "dignified care" by boosting the self-esteem of seniors and reducing the burden on human caregivers.

■ Bridging the ‘Care Gap’ in a Super-Aging Society
The collaboration comes as a strategic response to the growing shortage of care workers in a super-aging society. By utilizing ElevenLabs’ high-fidelity Text-to-Speech (TTS) and voice agent technology, Caring provides a service where AI calls elderly individuals during the hours they are left alone, offering companionship and monitoring.

"With concerns over care gaps rising, we must actively adopt AI technology to ensure no senior is left behind," said Kim Tae-sung, CEO of Caring. "ElevenLabs’ solution provides a 'human touch' that preserves the dignity of the elderly and fills the empty hours between human visits, making truly person-centered care possible."

■ Optimized for the Korean Healthcare Environment
ElevenLabs has tailored its platform to meet the unique needs of the Korean senior market. Key features include:

Natural Linguistics: High-quality Korean pronunciation and appropriate use of honorifics (Jondaetmal).
Emotional Warmth: AI voices designed to sound empathetic and comforting rather than robotic.
Low Latency: Technology that maintains a natural flow even when seniors speak slowly or pause frequently.
Scalability: A structure that allows for rapid prototyping and long-term expansion into global markets.

■ Proven Success in Pilot Projects
The effectiveness of the AI service was demonstrated through two rounds of pilot projects conducted between November 2023 and early 2024.

The first pilot achieved a 100% call completion rate and a 0% rejection rate, with an average call duration of 4 minutes and 22 seconds. The second phase showed even more promising results, with a 100% re-participation rate and call durations lasting up to 15 minutes, significantly exceeding the initial 5-minute target.

■ A Vision for Global Care Innovation
"ElevenLabs is committed to joining Caring’s innovation in the care sector," said Hong Sang-won, Country Manager of ElevenLabs Korea. "Our agent platform provides a reliable conversational experience, supporting the 'empty hours' of care that are difficult to fill with human labor alone."

Building on these domestic successes, Caring is reportedly considering taking its AI-driven senior care model to the global stage, aiming to provide a technological solution to the universal challenge of elderly isolation.
