Fall festival featuring forest performances, crafts, woodworking experiences, and exhibitions to be held at the lawn plaza on October 9–10

The Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum is hosting its "25th Anniversary Autumn Festival" for two days from October 9 to 10 around the arboretum's lawn plaza area.

This festival was prepared to look back on the 25 years the arboretum has walked and to share the value and beauty of the forest with provincial residents. Unlike last year's "Autumn Experience Day," which focused mainly on making crafts, this year's event has been organized with in-forest performances and resident participation programs.

On the first day, following a pre-performance by the dance team One Shot Crew, soprano Shim Kyu-yeon and comedienne Ahn So-mi will take the stage for celebration performances. On the second day, music stages featuring saxophone and acoustic guitar performances, as well as a children's popera, will follow. Programs in which visitors can directly participate, such as recreation and lucky draws, will also be operated.

Along with the performances, forest ecology crafts, woodworking, and forest play experiences for infants and the general public are prepared. Visitors can enjoy making programs such as aroma scent bracelets, deodorants, and decorating wooden flutes, as well as play utilizing natural objects.

An exhibition of wildflowers and forest bird photographs, along with the "2026 National Baekdudaegan Arboretum Traveling Exhibition," will also be held. On the final day, a plant specimen sharing event will take place.

Visitors can freely look around major viewing areas such as the Broadleaf Tree Garden, Azalea Garden, Ulleungdo and Dokdo Botanical Garden, and Medicinal Plant Garden to enjoy the autumn ambiance.

Park Jun-il, Director of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Forest Environment Research Institute, stated, "We have prepared a festival to share the preciousness of the forest with residents to mark our 25th anniversary," adding, "We hope visitors create special memories enjoying various performances and experiences with family and friends at the arboretum, which is beautiful in autumn."
