Suwon City announced on the 8th that it will host the international conference 'The 1st Gwanggyo Quantum Bio Summit (G-Quantum Bio Summit 2025)' for three days, from September 22nd to 24th, at the Suwon Convention Center.

This event will bring together over 1,000 domestic and international quantum science and bio-industry experts, industry-academia-research stakeholders, hospitals, and businesses to discuss ways to integrate quantum technology and the bio-industry.

Key programs include 'Quantum Bio Future' (Sungkyunkwan University's Institute for Quantum Biophysics), which will cover the convergence of quantum technology and medicine; 'Convergence Bio Demonstration & Policy' (Ajou University Medical Center), which will discuss precision medicine and policy issues; and 'Digital Healthcare Platform' (Catholic University St. Vincent's Hospital), which will feature smart diagnostic device experiences and discussions on digital healthcare foundations.

This event is an international conference that Suwon City was selected for in the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Korea Tourism Organization's '2025 Global K-Convention Development Project,' receiving national funding for four years. Suwon City and the Suwon Convention Center plan to successfully lead this event to elevate the status of Gwanggyo as a bio-industry cluster and simultaneously promote international conference attraction and the revitalization of the MICE industry.

The event will be held in a consortium with a total of 12 quantum and bio-related institutions and companies, including Gyeonggi Province, Sungkyunkwan University's Institute for Quantum Biophysics, Ajou University's Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy, Catholic University St. Vincent's Hospital, Ajou University Medical Center, and relevant companies and associations.
