Weekend operation of the 'D-Universe' double-decker tour bus from September to November

Special tourist trains organized for capital area tourists targeting the Daejeon Bakery Festival and Daejeon International Wine EXPO

Daejeon City, in collaboration with the Daejeon Tourism Organization, is operating the 'D-Universe' double-decker tour bus and special tourist trains from September to November to improve nighttime transportation convenience for tourists during weekends and major festival periods. This initiative aims to connect Daejeon's major night tourism areas, link representative festivals with night tourism attractions, enhance tourist mobility, and increase overnight stays.

'D-Universe' is a double-decker bus that circulates between Daejeon Station East Square, Hanbat Arboretum, and Expo Water Light Square. It will operate for a total of 24 days on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from September 18 to November 15, excluding the Chuseok holiday. The standard operating hours are from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM, running 5 times a day at 1-hour intervals.

In particular, during the Daejeon Bakery Festival and Daejeon International Wine EXPO period from October 16 to November 8, daytime operations will be added, running 8 times a day from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM. This is designed to help festival visitors conveniently enjoy major tourist attractions and night tourism content.

In addition, Daejeon City is organizing special tourist trains targeting tourists from the capital area in conjunction with the Daejeon Bakery Festival and Daejeon International Wine EXPO. The special tourist trains will operate on October 17 and November 6, respectively, structured as a tour package combining the Paldo Market Tourist Train and connecting buses to tour Daejeon's representative festivals and major night tourism attractions.

Kwon Kyung-min, Director-General of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Daejeon City, said, "We will provide transportation means connecting Daejeon's major festivals and night tourism attractions so that tourists can enjoy Daejeon's nights more conveniently."

Meanwhile, 'D-Universe' can be used for 1,000 KRW in cash via on-site registration. Special tourist trains can be booked on the Korail Tourism Development website, and details can be found on the official Daejeon Night Tourism blog and Instagram (@light_daejeon).
