Chicago, IL – LG CNS has announced its entry into the North American logistics automation market by showcasing its innovative warehouse automation logistics robots and smart solutions at ProMat 2025, the world's largest logistics automation exhibition, held at McCormick Place in Chicago from March 17-20.
A highlight of LG CNS’s presence at the exhibition was the unveiling of its newly developed 3D Mobile Shuttle. This advanced automated robot is designed to revolutionize warehouse operations by efficiently transporting and storing items within shelves using a fleet of shuttle robots. Unlike traditional systems that limit movement to left and right, the 3D Mobile Shuttle boasts four-directional mobility—up, down, left, and right—optimizing space utilization and item accessibility.
LG CNS emphasized that the 3D Mobile Shuttle incorporates sophisticated mathematical optimization technology, resulting in a significant reduction of warehouse space requirements by more than 20%. Furthermore, this versatile robot is engineered to handle a wide range of cargo, including cylindrical items such as automobile batteries, catering to the diverse needs of manufacturing, distribution, and automotive industries. Customers can also customize the type and material of the robots.
In addition to the 3D Mobile Shuttle, LG CNS showcased its comprehensive smart logistics solutions, which enable seamless integration of various logistics automation equipment and heterogeneous robots. These solutions provide integrated control functions, including real-time monitoring, remote control of automation equipment, optimal route management for autonomous mobile robots, traffic management, and performance monitoring.
LG CNS operated a joint booth with strategic partners, including Bear Robotics, a U.S. robotics specialist focusing on autonomous mobile robots for factory logistics, and Thira Robotics, a smart factory solution company specializing in heavy cargo transportation automation projects. These partnerships underscore LG CNS’s commitment to collaborative innovation and providing comprehensive solutions.
“LG CNS is actively developing a diverse portfolio of logistics robots to enhance our smart logistics capabilities,” stated Lee Jun-ho, executive director of the smart logistics and city division at LG CNS. “We are committed to providing North American customers with customized logistics robots and smart logistics solutions, empowering them to successfully implement advanced logistics automation.”
