Seoul, South Korea – LG Electronics has been honored as the "Most Innovative Company in 2025" within the automotive category by the prestigious U.S. economic magazine, Fast Company, announced on March 19th. This accolade underscores LG's significant strides in revolutionizing the automotive industry through its cutting-edge Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) technologies.

Fast Company's annual evaluation, which has been recognizing impactful companies across various sectors since 2008, has this year highlighted LG Electronics among ten leading innovators in the automotive field out of 58 total categories. This recognition is attributed to the achievements of LG's Vehicle component Solutions (VS) Business Division, which is at the forefront of driving the SDV revolution.

LG Electronics is strategically focusing on securing advanced SDV technologies, aiming to provide comprehensive and innovative solutions that transcend traditional automotive component supply. A key component of this strategy is the development of "LG AlphaWare," a differentiated solution designed to facilitate SDV transformation. This suite comprises:

PlayWare: An entertainment solution delivering high-definition, premium content experiences within vehicles.
MetaWare: Leveraging AR, MR, and AI technologies to provide immersive experiences for drivers.
BaseWare: Enhancing existing vehicle operating systems or supporting the development of new platforms.
OpsWare: Streamlining software integration, technology verification, and distribution processes.
Furthermore, LG Electronics has pioneered the application of its Automotive Content Platform (ACP) in commercial electric vehicles. This initiative embodies the company's vision of transforming vehicles into "wheeled living spaces," extending the functionality of its smart TV platform, webOS, into the automotive environment, and delivering a diverse range of premium content, including LG Channels, for a unique mobility experience.

"We will continue to develop SDV technology that innovates customer experiences in vehicles to strengthen our competitiveness in the global mobility market," stated Eun Seok-hyun, head of LG Electronics' VS Business Division. This recognition by Fast Company reinforces LG Electronics' position as a global leader in driving the future of mobility through groundbreaking SDV solutions.
