Teresa Paneque, a young Chilean astronomer, has achieved a remarkable feat by being selected for three of the most prestigious postdoctoral research programs in the United States. At the tender age of 26, she has garnered international attention by securing the NASA Hubble Fellowship, the Jansky Fellowship, and the highly coveted 51 Pegasi b Fellowship.

Paneque's dream of securing the 51 Pegasi b Fellowship has become a reality, thanks to the generous support from the Heising-Simons Foundation. Additionally, her simultaneous selection for a fellowship at the University of Michigan will provide her with two research grants, propelling her research to new heights.

Paneque's research focuses on unraveling the chemical conditions of planet formation. She expressed a desire to tell her 2014 self, "Everything will be fine, and you'll embark on incredible adventures."

Paneque's achievements serve as a beacon of hope for the future of Chilean astronomy. Chile, renowned for its exceptional astronomical observation conditions, has been at the forefront of world-class astronomical research. With talented young scientists like Paneque leading the way, the future of Chilean astronomy is undeniably bright.

Paneque is passionate about encouraging more women to pursue careers in science. She emphasized Chile's commitment to nurturing top scientific talent and highlighted the nation's skies as the ultimate laboratory for world-class research.
