Siheung City (Mayor Lim Byeong-taek) will host the '2025 Siheung Citizens' Family Love Walking Festival' four times throughout the year to promote the health of its citizens and provide opportunities for communication among families. The first event will be held on May 17th at 10:00 AM at Baegot Hanul Park.

This walking festival is organized to encourage healthy leisure activities for families in celebration of Family Month, and is open to people of all ages.

The walking course is a round trip of 6 km, taking approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, starting from the seawater pool at Baegot Hanul Park, turning back at the sand playground, and returning to the seawater pool. Participants can enjoy a healing time walking while appreciating the cool breeze and natural scenery of Baegot Hanul Park.

Pre-registration is available until May 13th via the provided link, and on-site registration will be conducted on the day of the event from 9:30 AM in front of the seawater pool at Baegot Hanul Park.

On the day of the event, a health promotion center will be operated where participants can receive various health consultations such as blood pressure and blood sugar measurements, and smoking and alcohol cessation counseling. Simple stretching and warm-up exercises, as well as education on proper walking posture, will also be provided to support participants in experiencing safer and more effective walking practices.

Lee Hyung-jung, Head of the Siheung City Public Health Center, stated, "We hope that this walking festival will enhance family bonds and serve as an opportunity for all citizens to practice a healthy lifestyle. We plan to continuously organize the Family Love Walking Festival with diverse themes and programs in the future."

Detailed information about the event can be found on the Siheung City Public Health Center's Healthy City Division blog, and inquiries regarding the event can be directed to the Health Policy Team of the Siheung City Public Health Center's Healthy City Division.
