Jensen Huang’s Iconic Leather Jacket to be Auctioned at Sotheby’s; Estimated Price Up to $60,000

The signature black leather jacket of NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang is set to go under the hammer at Sotheby’s.

On July 3 (local time), the auction house announced that it would host an auction for the Tom Ford leather jacket donated by Huang, which also features his handwritten autograph.

The jacket is the same one worn by Huang during the Hon Hai Tech Day event held in Taipei, Taiwan, on October 18, 2023. A professional sports memorabilia authentication service has verified that this is the specific garment worn by the CEO at that event. It is reported that the item remains in like-new condition.

The estimated winning bid for the jacket has been set between $40,000 and $60,000. A standard Tom Ford leather jacket typically retails for around $10,000.

Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the "Edge Institute," a non-profit organization that operates "Edge City," an experimental village where innovators, researchers, philosophers, and artists gather to live and work together. Bidding will begin on July 7 and close on July 17.
