The World-OKTA (World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Association) Oceania Next-Generation Committee announced that it held the "2026 Oceania Next-Generation Leaders Conference" in Adelaide, Australia, from September 18 to 20.

Co-organized by nine branches across the Oceania region, the event brought together 24 next-generation leaders active in various local areas. Participants evaluated leadership competencies required for managing next-generation organizations and shared experiences from each branch along with strategies to revitalize networks.

The event was attended by Adelaide Branch President Choi Young-shin, Oceania Regional Chairman Min Ki-ho, and World-OKTA Next-Generation Committee Vice Chair Kim Kwan-soon, alongside other regional executives and branch officials who encouraged the participants.

In her welcoming speech, Adelaide Branch President Choi Young-shin said, "Although our cities, scales, and environments differ, we share the same direction: connecting people, creating opportunities, and growing the next generation. Greater opportunities are created when people connect with one another, and I hope this meeting leads to future cooperation."

Kim Kwan-soon, Vice Chair of the Next-Generation Committee, emphasized the voluntary support and cooperation shown by the nine Oceania branches united in the importance of nurturing the next generation, stating that this conference should establish itself as an exchange platform connecting next-generation leaders across regions.

Participants shared World-OKTA’s key projects and support programs for next-generation members, and assessed practical response capabilities needed for organizational activities centered on next-generation leadership and crisis response manuals. During the "New Next-Generation Guide" session and group discussions, they shared each branch's experience and areas for improvement, discussing future directions for cooperation.

Following the official programs, participants transcended regions and industries to share business experiences and areas of interest, exploring possibilities for future business and inter-branch cooperation.

This conference is significant in that the nine Oceania branches reaffirmed their shared responsibility and commitment to nurturing the next generation and expanded the foundation for cooperation among regional next-generation leaders.
