Beloved ballad singer Lee Soo-young has been involved in a traffic accident, leading to a temporary hiatus from her radio hosting duties.

During the February 12 broadcast of the CBS Music FM program "Meet at 12 with Lee Soo-young," announcer Ha Hyo-jin appeared as a substitute host and delivered the news regarding the DJ's condition.

"Lee Soo-young was involved in a car accident and I will be filling in as the host through this weekend," Ha informed the listeners. Providing a reassuring update, she added, "Fortunately, the injuries are not life-threatening, and she has returned home safely."

This is not the first time the singer has faced a scare on the road. In July 2010, Lee suffered a minor collision while traveling to a radio station. At that time, she displayed remarkable professionalism by completing her live broadcast for KBS Cool FM’s "Lee Soo-young's Music Show" before heading to the hospital for treatment. Recalling that incident later, she shared, "A car rear-ended us while I was in the manager's vehicle. It was quite frightening."

Lee Soo-young debuted in 1999 with her first album I Believe and rose to superstardom in the early 2000s with a string of hits, including "Dung-geureoni." Known for her emotional vocals and witty personality, she has been a mainstay on the airwaves, hosting "Meet at 12 with Lee Soo-young" since 2017.

Fans have expressed their relief regarding her safety and are wishing her a speedy recovery and a quick return to the DJ booth.
