The Samcheok City Youth Center will host the 2025 Samcheok City Youth Harmony Festival, "Together, Green," on Friday, June 6th, from 1 PM to 6 PM, around the Youth Center. This festival will offer a wealth of attractions and entertainment for Samcheok youth and their families. It holds even greater significance as it was directly planned and operated by the Youth Festival Planning Group, 'Youth Lap.'

A Festival By, For, and Of the Youth

The 2025 Samcheok City Youth Harmony Festival “Together, Green” is more than just an event; it's an opportunity for local youth to enhance their leadership and planning skills by creating the festival themselves. The Youth Festival Planning Group, 'Youth Lap,' has been brainstorming ideas for this festival for several months, taking the lead in organizing and running the programs. This is expected to greatly contribute to giving young people a sense of accomplishment and fostering a sense of community.

The festival's concept is 'Luck.' Various experiential booths utilizing diverse props symbolizing luck will be operated, and visitors will be able to enjoy themselves and gain positive energy through these booths. Notably, the dress code is 'Green,' and participants wearing green clothing or accessories who visit the operations headquarters will receive a small souvenir on a first-come, first-served basis. This will further heighten the festival atmosphere and encourage active participation.

A Feast of Diverse Experiences and Passionate Performances

This Harmony Festival will feature a variety of experiential booths operating from 1 PM to 4 PM. While the exact program details will be revealed on the day of the event, Youth Harmony Festivals typically offer programs in various fields such as △eco-friendly crafting experiences △career exploration booths △psychological counseling booths △traditional games △science experiments, simultaneously stimulating youth interest and providing educational benefits. The Samcheok City Youth Center has a history of offering various activities that allow youth to unleash their creativity and potential, so expectations are high for this event as well.

From 4 PM to 6 PM, a performance stage will unfold, allowing attendees to feel the burning passion of the youth. A stage will be set up for youth to showcase their honed skills, including band performances, K-POP dance, powerful cheerleading, and sweet singing. School clubs and youth organizations from the region will participate, displaying their talents and interacting with the audience to amplify the festival's excitement. Such performances, in which youth actively participate and enjoy themselves, will instill pride in them and motivate them to pursue their dreams.

For more detailed information about the event, please contact the Samcheok City Youth Center at 033-571-2561.

A Youth Cultural Festival Growing with the Local Community

A Samcheok City official stated, "This festival will be a valuable opportunity for youth to fully express their talents and passion," adding, "We hope many youth and citizens will participate and enjoy the festival together." This event is expected to go beyond being just a festival for youth, becoming a venue where the entire community pays attention to youth culture and communicates together.

Samcheok City has supported various policies and programs to help youth grow healthily and emerge as key players in the future society. In addition to expanding infrastructure such as the Youth Center and Youth Cultural House, efforts have been made to strengthen youth capabilities through support for club activities and the operation of career exploration programs. The Youth Harmony Festival is part of these efforts, establishing itself as a representative festival where youth can escape their daily routines, freely express themselves, interact with peers, and gain positive energy.

This "Together, Green" festival, with its subtitle 'Green' emphasizing the importance of environmental protection, may also carry a message encouraging future generations of youth to take an interest in environmental issues and participate in creating a sustainable society. This will play an important role in helping youth grow into citizens with social responsibility, rather than just consumers.

The Samcheok City Youth Harmony Festival is expected to provide unforgettable memories for local youth and significantly contribute to fostering a healthy youth culture. We hope that Samcheok City will continue to promote various events that support the dreams and passions of youth, creating an environment where they can grow brightly and healthily.
