Seoul, South Korea – Hyundai Motor Group announced today that its Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia EV3 have been named winners in the Large SUV and Compact SUV categories, respectively, at the 2025 Women's World Car of the Year (WWCOTY) awards.

Judged by a panel of 82 female automotive journalists from 55 countries across five continents, the WWCOTY awards recognize vehicles that excel in safety, performance, technology, comfort, efficiency, environmental impact, value for money, and gender equality. This year's competition evaluated 81 vehicles launched in at least 40 countries over the past year, spanning six categories: Urban, Large SUV, Compact SUV, Large Car, 4x4 and Pickup, and Performance and Luxury.

The Hyundai Santa Fe was praised for its distinctive "H" shaped headlamps, clean lines, spacious interior, and a versatile powertrain lineup including 1.6-liter turbo and plug-in hybrid options. The Kia EV3 impressed judges with its exceptional range of up to 605 kilometers on a single charge (WLTP), high quality, comprehensive features, and competitive pricing.

The overall winner, or "Supreme Winner," will be announced on March 6th, two days before International Women's Day. Hyundai Motor Group previously claimed the Supreme Winner title in 2024 with the Kia EV9.
