Samcheok City announced that it is recruiting participants for the 105th Samcheok Citizen Academy, which will be held on Monday, July 21st, at 2 PM in the Grand Auditorium of the Lifelong Learning Center. The academy will feature an in-person lecture by author and comedian Go Myeong-hwan.
This Citizen Academy invites author and comedian Go Myeong-hwan to speak on the topic of "How Do I Find Answers in Life?" He will share his journey of reading over 3,000 books to find answers to life's questions and his experiences on the path to becoming an entrepreneur.
Recruitment for 100 participants will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis through online pre-registration (Samcheok City Lifelong Learning Center website) from Monday, June 30th, to Friday, July 4th. Jin Young-mi, Director of the Lifelong Learning Center, stated, "This is a great opportunity for citizens to enhance their cultural pride and humanistic knowledge through lectures by experts in various fields that are usually difficult to access. We hope for your keen interest and participation."
Meanwhile, Samcheok City has been hosting the Citizen Academy annually since 2007, inviting experts from diverse fields and backgrounds. The 104th Samcheok Citizen Academy, held in June, received a great response from citizens with a special lecture by author and actor Cha In-pyo.
