Naver Plus Store Hits 1-Year Milestone: Scaling Growth via 'Vouchers + AI' Synergy

Naver’s strategic combination of "Naver Plus Membership Vouchers" and advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping the e-commerce landscape. By successfully attracting both premium brands and loyal customers, the platform has established a powerful virtuous cycle of growth.

Explosive Growth in Brands and Users
According to data released by Naver on the 25th, the number of Brand Stores participating in "Pet" and "Baby" vouchers surged fivefold compared to July last year, now totaling 380 brands. This expansion has directly translated into customer acquisition; brands participating in the voucher program saw an average 20% increase in new buyers.

Specific success stories include:

-Huggies: Experienced a 50% jump in new customers.
-Bebedepino: Saw its number of repeat customers double.

The Secret Sauce: Lifecycle Benefits and AI
Launched last year, the Membership Voucher program offers Naver Plus members exclusive perks, such as 50% "Welcome Discounts," 10% additional point accumulation, and monthly 10% coupons.

The program’s effectiveness is amplified by Naver’s Shopping AI Agent. By analyzing data from high-frequency purchases—such as pet food, diapers, and baby formula—the AI provides hyper-personalized recommendations. This integration has significantly boosted "Retention Rates," turning one-time shoppers into loyal subscribers.

On the Road to 10 Million MAU
The impact is clearly visible in the user metrics. According to Mobile Index, the Monthly Active Users (MAU) for the Naver Plus Store app skyrocketed from 2.68 million in March last year to 7.10 million last month—a 2.6x increase. Industry analysts predict the app will surpass the 10 million MAU milestone within this year.

"Vouchers are playing a pivotal role in connecting high-activity membership users with top-tier brands," said a Naver official. "We plan to strengthen our lineup by introducing new vouchers tailored to major life events, such as marriage and moving."
With the recent addition of Kurly, N-Mart, Netflix, and Spotify to its benefit ecosystem, Naver continues to solidify its position as an indispensable "all-in-one" platform for South Korean consumers.
