The Overseas Koreans Foundation (President Kim Young-geun) and Incheon National University (President Park Jong-tae) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 18th (Tuesday) at the Incheon National University headquarters in Songdo, Incheon, to cooperate in fostering the next generation of overseas Koreans.
The two organizations plan to actively utilize their respective networks and human and material resources to nurture the next generation of overseas Koreans and domestic youth into talents with a Korean ethnic identity and global leadership as global citizens.
The MOU includes details on △next-generation overseas Korean development projects, △scholarship programs to attract outstanding next-generation overseas Korean talents, and △other matters requiring mutual cooperation between the two organizations.
President Kim Young-geun stated, "By strengthening practical cooperation related to the development of the next generation of overseas Koreans with Incheon National University, located in Incheon, the gateway to Korea, we will contribute to attracting outstanding next-generation overseas Korean talents in preparation for a low-birthrate and aging society."
In the future, the two organizations plan to actively cooperate in areas such as overseas Korean scholarship programs, and homeland invitation training for the next generation of overseas Koreans, which are being implemented by the Overseas Koreans Foundation.
