Mo Su-jin, the vocalist of the co-ed duo 'Acoustic Collabo' known for her unique emotional depth in the Korean indie ballad scene, has passed away at the age of 27. The sudden news, coming less than a month into the new year of 2026, has left fans and fellow musicians in deep shock.

Her agency, Panic Button, officially announced on the 28th via social media, "Mo Su-jin left us on the 25th." Given the profound grief of the bereaved family, the agency has decided not to disclose specific details, including the cause of death. This measure is intended to show respect for the deceased and protect the privacy of those left behind. The funeral will be held privately at the request of the family, who wish to bid her a quiet farewell.

The Voice That Sang of Heartbreak Falls Silent Mo Su-jin gained public recognition after joining Acoustic Collabo as its second-generation vocalist. With her signature clean yet sorrowful tone, she received immense love for a series of tracks exploring the emotions of parting, such as "I’ll Let You Go Now," "Me Missing You, You Being Missed," and "Let's Break Up." In particular, her songs—blending lyrical verses that resonate with the youth and her deeply appealing vocals—became "steady sellers," frequently appearing on music charts and social media.

The deceased was known for her extraordinary passion for music. On stage, she prioritized sincere vocal performance over flamboyance, while off stage, she was an artist who quietly built her own musical world. Following the news of her sudden passing, online communities and social media have been flooded with tributes: "I was comforted by her songs during my breakups; I can't believe this," and "It breaks my heart that she left at such a young age of 27."

A Legacy Left to the Music Industry Mo Su-jin’s passing has once again brought great sorrow to the music industry. The sudden departure of a young, active artist has left colleagues and juniors with a deep sense of loss. The agency repeatedly requested, "Please refrain from speculative reports or spreading rumors so that her final journey can be peaceful."

Although Mo Su-jin is gone, the music she left behind remains with us. Her voice, which once touched the painful memories of many, will now be remembered as an eternal melody in the hearts of her fans.
