Bucheon City participated in the '12th International e-Mobility Expo', which successfully concluded in Seogwipo City, Jeju, from July 9th to 12th, to promote the overwhelming potential of the Bucheon Daejang Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex (hereinafter referred to as Daejang Industrial Complex) to the world and made an all-out effort to attract global investment. This expo was an unprecedented event with over 500 companies and organizations from 50 countries participating and approximately 40,000 visitors, providing an opportunity to overview the latest technologies and trends in the future mobility industry.

Daejang Industrial Complex Draws Attention with Excellent Location and Industrial Linkages

During the expo, Bucheon City operated a dedicated promotional booth to actively promote the excellent location and future industrial linkage possibilities of the Daejang Industrial Complex. In particular, its geographical advantage of being close to Incheon International Airport and Gimpo Airport garnered strong interest from promising domestic and international companies, as it offers optimal conditions for establishing a mobility ecosystem linked to the aviation industry. Bucheon City not only distributed promotional materials and screened promotional videos but also provided detailed explanations of the Daejang Industrial Complex's locational competitiveness and plans for creating a future mobility industry cluster through customized investment consultations with over 50 domestic and international mobility companies. Companies participating in the consultations expressed high expectations for the Daejang Industrial Complex's potential to grow into a core hub for the future mobility industry.

Synergy with Defense Industry, Presenting New Possibilities

Bucheon City evaluated this expo as an opportunity to explore the expandability of the Daejang Industrial Complex, beyond merely promoting the mobility industry. By participating in the 'Defense Cluster Revitalization Plan' forum hosted by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, Bucheon City extensively presented the potential for linkage between its solid defense industry foundation and the future mobility industry. In this forum, attended by officials from major domestic defense companies and organizations such as LIG Nex1, Hanwha Systems, and the Korea Defense Industry Association, Bucheon City emphasized the synergistic effects that would be created when defense industry technology merges with future mobility technologies such as autonomous driving, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics, thereby opening up possibilities for new industrial models. This demonstrates that the Daejang Industrial Complex can develop into a complex industrial complex where various advanced industries converge, rather than just a mobility production base.

Strengthening Global Networks and Discovering Investment Attraction Partners

During the expo, Bucheon City actively participated in various conference programs, including the 'Exhibitor Networking Day,' engaging in lively exchanges with global companies and industry experts. It highlighted the unique strengths of the Daejang Industrial Complex as an aviation and mobility industry cluster by introducing success stories of leading companies already located there, such as Korean Air, SK Group, and DN Solutions. These networking activities played a decisive role in identifying potential investment attraction partners and building cooperative networks. Especially with the growing interest of global companies in new technology fields like UAM (Urban Air Mobility), Bucheon City's proactive response is expected to gain a favorable position in preempting the future mobility market.

The Ascent of Daejang Industrial Complex, A Core Hub for the Future Mobility Industry

Lee Tae-kyun, Director of Strategy at Bucheon City, expressed his ambition: "Through this expo, we were able to conduct substantial investment consultations with 50 companies and strengthen our network with global mobility companies." He added, "We will continue to actively attract investment to develop the Bucheon Daejang Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex into a core hub for future industries." Building on this expo, Bucheon City plans to further expand its global investment attraction activities and continuously pursue strategic promotion and customized consultations to foster the Daejang Industrial Complex as a hub for the future mobility industry. With its excellent location and proactive support from the local government, the Bucheon Daejang Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex is expected to continue to receive attention from global mobility companies and emerge as a key axis leading Korea's future mobility industry.
