Aimed at 4th-6th Graders in the City... May Participate in City Administration Experiences and Produce Activity Booklets

Bucheon City announced on the 16th that it will recruit members for the "2025 Bucheon City Junior Reporter Group" from July 22nd to 29th.

The Junior Reporter Group is open to 4th to 6th-grade students residing in Bucheon or attending elementary schools located in Bucheon City, who have an interest in writing and experiencing city administration. A total of 30 members will be selected.

Selected reporters will participate in key city administration sites and various experience programs in Bucheon City for approximately five months, from August to December. Based on these experiences, they will directly write articles. Excellent articles among those written will also be published in Bucheon City's administrative newsletter, "Boksagol Bucheon."

The reporter activities will consist of: △special lectures on article writing techniques, △coverage of city events and major facilities within the city, and △production of a booklet containing activity achievements. Through these activities, the city plans to provide children with the opportunity to experience vivid reporting activities.

A Bucheon City official stated, "City administration experiences seen from a child's perspective will enrich intergenerational communication." They added, "We hope that the reporter activities will foster children's interest in the local area as well as their expressive and observational skills."

Information regarding the recruitment and application process for the Junior Reporter Group can be found on the Bucheon City Hall website.
