Santa Rosa, Laguna – Enchanted Kingdom (EK), the Philippines' leading theme park, is gearing up for grand preparations to offer visitors an even more magical experience as it celebrates its 30th anniversary. As part of these efforts, two of its major popular rides, Space Shuttle and AGILA The EKsperience, will undergo comprehensive upgrades and will be temporarily closed from July 1 to September 30, 2025.

Both rides are expected to reopen in October, coinciding with Enchanted Kingdom's 30th-anniversary celebrations. This upgrade goes beyond simple maintenance, focusing on maximizing visitor satisfaction and safety.

Space Shuttle: Adding Efficiency to Thrills

Space Shuttle, the iconic roller coaster of Enchanted Kingdom, will retain its thrilling twists and turns while introducing a new loading and unloading system to reduce waiting times and enhance rider convenience. Furthermore, a more efficient operation and monitoring system will be implemented to strengthen both safety and operational efficiency. This is expected to provide visitors with a smoother and more enjoyable experience, elevating the theme park's overall operational standards.

Space Shuttle, the Philippines' first looping roller coaster, debuted with Enchanted Kingdom's opening in 1995 and has since provided unforgettable memories for countless visitors. By incorporating the latest technology through this upgrade, it is poised to further solidify its reputation as a core attraction for Enchanted Kingdom's 30th anniversary.

AGILA The EKsperience: The Philippines' Only Flying Theater Becomes an Immersive Learning Venue

AGILA The EKsperience, the Philippines' first and only Flying Theater, opened in 2017 and has since gained significant popularity. Its reopening is expected to elevate education and entertainment to a new level, going beyond mere amusement. "Agila," meaning eagle in Filipino, is designed to allow visitors to experience the beautiful natural landscapes and cultural heritage of the Philippines from the perspective of an eagle.

The upgraded AGILA The EKsperience will focus on further promoting environmental responsibility and sustainability. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, it will deliver immersive visual and auditory effects to highlight the importance of the Philippine ecosystem and nature, and convey educational messages to visitors about the significance of environmental protection. This transformation is seen as aligning with the role of a theme park in creating social value, going beyond just being a ride.

Continuing the Magic: Over 30 Attractions and New Experiences

Even during the temporary closure of the two main rides, visitors can continue to enjoy Enchanted Kingdom's more than 30 diverse rides and attractions. Notably, the recently introduced family thrill ride, EKlipse, is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, offering unique thrills and fun and receiving great feedback from visitors. EKlipse provides a thrilling experience for the whole family with its unique combination of rotations and inversions.

In addition, Enchanted Kingdom is preparing a variety of captivating events and special merchandise for its 30th anniversary. Nightly fireworks displays, colorful parades, and themed performances are set to create unforgettable memories for visitors. Furthermore, restaurants and shops within the theme park will introduce special 30th-anniversary menus and products to further enhance the festive atmosphere.

For the past 30 years, Enchanted Kingdom has brought joy and happiness to the lives of Filipinos. Through continuous investment and innovation, it has solidified its position as the nation's premier theme park. With this major upgrade, it is expected to continue delivering magical experiences to countless visitors and lead the Philippine leisure industry for years to come. Enchanted Kingdom's 30th-anniversary celebrations are scheduled to officially kick off in October, and more detailed information can be found on their official website.
