HONG KONG – South Korean TV personality Kang Su-jeong, who is based in Hong Kong, shared a glimpse into her home life amid the powerful impact of Typhoon Ragasa. The typhoon has brought the city to a standstill and caused flooding in her luxury residence, reportedly valued at 8 billion Korean won (approximately $6.1 million USD).

On September 24th, Kang took to social media to post a message along with a video of her terrace. "I'm glad I brought all the plants, chairs, and tables inside yesterday," she wrote. "The wind is incredibly strong and scary. I hope it all passes by this afternoon."

The video shows a murky sky and potted plants being battered by the wind and rain. The wooden deck of her terrace is visibly soaked with rainwater, turning it into a small pool.

Typhoon Ragasa has brought the entire city of Hong Kong to a state of high alert. The storm, which has already caused casualties in Taiwan and the Philippines, is considered extremely powerful. In response, Hong Kong has canceled over 700 flights and closed schools since September 22nd, effectively paralyzing the city.

Kang Su-jeong, a former announcer, moved to Hong Kong in 2008 after marrying her husband, who works for a financial company there. Her residence in the affluent Repulse Bay area has garnered attention for its reported value, which is estimated to be around 8 billion Korean won.
