On January 24th, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, the Korean Residents Association of Brazil (President: Kim Bum-jin) held its first free medical service event of 2026 for the Korean community at the Oriental Mission Church of São Paulo (Senior Pastor: Yang Kyung-mo).
Medical staff from the Korean Medical Association in Brazil (KOBRAMA, President: Kim Nam-jin) participated in the event, supported by medical students who assisted with registration, preliminary consultations, and blood pressure and glucose measurements. Additionally, dental services were provided by the Korean Dental Association of Brazil (President: Kim Jun-ho), with approximately 40 Korean residents receiving medical benefits.
The event was attended by President Kim Bum-jin and other association officials, as well as Kim Jung-ae, the Brazil branch chair of the Korean Women's International Network (KOWIN), and its members, who helped prepare snacks and guided attendees on-site.
Following the conclusion of the event, KOBRAMA hosted a luncheon for the volunteers to express their gratitude.
The Association stated, "We plan to continue providing free medical services for compatriots who have difficulty accessing healthcare," and pledged to continue efforts to improve the health of the local Korean community.
