Final Lineup Unveiled for the 2026 Busan International Rock Festival: Setting the Stage for an Epic Event with 99 Teams

The 2026 Busan International Rock Festival, Korea’s longest-running international music festival, has officially announced its final lineup of 99 performing teams. Scheduled to take place from October 2 to October 4 at Samnak Ecological Park, the festival authority is gearing up to welcome global music fans with comprehensive preparations.

According to Busan Metropolitan City, the final artist announcement made on September 4 revealed that legendary British rock icons The Libertines, who spearheaded the 2000s UK indie rock revival, will join as the final headliner. They are joined by a stellar roster of newly added domestic acts—including Broccoli, You Beside Me, Jang Bum-june, Idiotape, N.Flying, Kwon Jin-ah, Say Sue Me, and Lucy—alongside prominent international artists such as Japanese singer-songwriter ``, and the Japanese band Hanabie.

These acts complete a massive, star-studded bill that already includes heavy-hitting names previously announced, such as Avenged Sevenfold, Megadeth, Songolmae, Jannabi, CreepHyp, Suchmos, Hanroro, and Woodz. With a total of 99 domestic and international acts spanning generations and genres, the festival promises a diverse musical spectrum catering to all rock and indie enthusiasts.

The massive anticipation surrounding the festival has naturally translated into high ticket demand. Most ticket tiers available through YES24 Ticket have sold out rapidly, with remaining options limited to real-time canceled tickets.

To accommodate the influx of global visitors and seamlessly merge the music celebration with regional tourism, the city has significantly expanded its international ticketing platforms and transportation infrastructure. Tickets are currently being distributed globally via major travel platforms like Klook, KKday, and Trip.com, often bundled with exclusive regional tour packages.

To resolve logistical hurdles for international attendees, specialized round-trip shuttle buses running directly from Gimhae International Airport and Busan Station to the festival grounds have been introduced, accompanied by professional guides. Furthermore, Kakao Mobility’s foreigner-exclusive platform k.ride is offering special package deals combining festival admission with convenient transportation options. These initiatives are designed to encourage foreign visitors to extend their stay and explore wider attractions across Busan.

On-site digital convenience has also been elevated. Through a strategic partnership with Kakao Map, attendees can access comprehensive spatial data regarding the festival venue directly on the application. The digital guide outlines precise stage locations, resting zones, food courts, amenities, and real-time artist schedules, ensuring a frictionless experience for tens of thousands of festival-goers.

Meanwhile, the festival continues its tradition of nurturing rising talent through "Rookies on the BU-ROCK," a specialized development program for emerging artists taking place on the Hidden Stage. Admission to the Hidden Stage remains completely free for all visitors. The program features a total prize pool of 15 million KRW, with the top three winning acts securing a coveted main stage performance slot at the 2027 festival, and the top two acts winning international performance opportunities.

Further information regarding daily schedules, program details, and ticketing updates can be found on the Official Busan International Rock Festival Website. City officials emphasized that every measure, from traffic alignment to digital conveniences, has been carefully orchestrated to ensure that visitors create unforgettable memories amidst the vibrant charm of Busan.
