December 31 at 10 PM, a special year-end classical music festival unfolds at the Bucheon Arts Center.

An encounter featuring four world-class vocalists, the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, and Music Director Adrien Perruchon.

The Bucheon Arts Center (CEO Park Eun-hye), widely acclaimed by both performers and audiences for its exceptional architectural acoustics, will host the "BAC Special Presentation 2026 New Year's Eve Concert" on December 31 (Thursday) at 10:00 PM.

A Year-End Celebration with World-Class Performers at the Bucheon Arts Center

Since its grand opening, the Bucheon Arts Center has established its reputation as a premier classical music venue by hosting world-renowned artists and orchestras, including pianists Seong-Jin Cho and Yunchan Lim, soprano Sumi Jo, the Orchestre National de France, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and pianist Daniil Trifonov. It delivers extraordinary musical experiences to audiences through its vineyard-style architecture, which provides a magnificent yet warm atmosphere alongside sophisticated acoustic engineering that produces delicate and rich sound.

This year’s New Year's Eve Concert features the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, a representative cultural arts content of Bucheon City. Four top-tier vocalists active on global opera stages will join Music Director Adrien Perruchon for a special gala concert format.

A Special Musical Experience Where Top-Tier Venue Meets Premier Orchestra

The collaboration between the Bucheon Arts Center—equipped with world-class acoustic facilities—and the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, boasting a long history and solid performance capabilities, is a unique musical asset exclusive to Bucheon. The delicate acoustics of the Bucheon Arts Center Concert Hall and the rich sound of the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra will harmonize with the voices of world-class vocalists to deliver the profound emotions of opera with exceptional depth.

A Glamorous Year-End Delivered by Four Top-Tier Vocalists and Adrien Perruchon

The concert will be led by Adrien Perruchon, the 4th Music Director of the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra. Known for his delicate sense of color and clear interpretation, which bring new depth and vitality to the orchestra, he will leverage the synergy built over the past two years since his inauguration, combined with his extensive experience on major European stages, to highlight the unique charms of both the orchestra and the star vocalists.

The performance brings together an elite lineup: soprano Sunyoung Seo, who has established herself as a global artist through stellar performances at major international competitions like the Tchaikovsky Competition; mezzo-soprano Hyona Kim, active at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the San Francisco Opera; tenor Kangyoon Lee, who has performed in major European opera houses including the Deutsche Oper Berlin; and bass-baritone Samuel Youn, who has achieved global renown through the Bayreuth Wagner Festival and holds the title of German Kammersänger.

Notably, soprano Sunyoung Seo continues her active international career, starring as Butterfly in Puccini's opera Madama Butterfly at the Opéra de Toulon in France in June 2026. Bass-baritone Samuel Youn also maintains a steady presence on major world opera stages, demonstrating unmatched musical presence particularly through major Wagnerian roles. Joining them are mezzo-soprano Hyona Kim and tenor Kangyoon Lee, bringing together four distinct vocal colors and personalities onto a single stage.

Combining the rich stage experience of these world-class vocalists, the masterful playing of the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, and the delicate conducting of Adrien Perruchon, this concert promises to be a magnificent grand finale to the year and a special moment to share hopes for the new year.
