Córdoba Gears Up for 452nd Anniversary Marathon, Expecting Record Turnout

Córdoba, Argentina – As the city of Córdoba prepares to celebrate its 452nd anniversary, excitement is building for the annual Córdoba Marathon, set to take place on July 6th. With routes showcasing the city's most iconic landmarks, the marathon is already seeing a surge in registrations across all categories, four months ahead of the event.

The marathon, organized by the Municipality of Córdoba, has solidified its position as a key event on the global sporting calendar, attracting thousands of runners from around the world. This year's event promises to be a celebration of health, fitness, and community spirit.

Race Details and Routes:

Start and Finish: Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes
Distances: 5K, 10K, 21K, and 42K, catering to competitive, adapted, and participatory runners.
Routes:5K: Surrounding areas of the stadium and Kempes Park.
10K: Through the picturesque Urca neighborhood.
21K: To the 450th Anniversary Bridge, connecting Plaza Austria and Las Heras Elisa Park.
42K: A challenging route to Ciudad Universitaria and back to the stadium.

Future Editions Secured:

The city has secured agreements to host the marathon in 2026 and 2027, with the event scheduled for the first Sunday of July each year. This provides runners with the ability to plan their annual schedules in advance.

Registration is available through the official marathon website: www.maratondecordoba.com.
Registration Fees:5K: 19,500 Argentine pesos
10K: 27,400 Argentine pesos
21K: 39,800 Argentine pesos
42K: 51,550 Argentine pesos
Included in Registration: Official t-shirt (men's or women's), runner's number with timing chip, classification, hydration, medical service, cloakroom, and a finisher's medal.
