Embalse, Córdoba – The province of Córdoba is set to make a splash as it hosts Oceanman Argentina, the world's most prestigious open water swimming competition, this Saturday and Sunday. The event, held in the scenic town of Embalse, will be free and open to the public.

Over 1,200 swimmers from 18 countries have confirmed their participation, marking the third edition of Oceanman in Argentina and kicking off the franchise's international calendar. During the official presentation, provincial and municipal authorities, along with competition representatives, highlighted the event's significant growth and anticipated impact.

"We are incredibly proud to be chosen as the venue for this expanding event, which leverages Córdoba's infrastructure and renowned hospitality," stated Darío Capitani, head of the Córdoba Tourism Agency. He emphasized Oceanman's positive influence on tourism and its role in establishing Córdoba as a hub for major sporting events.

The competition not only underscores Córdoba's importance in the sports arena but also drives tourism and economic activity, solidifying the province's status as a top-tier destination. This event follows recent high-profile events such as the Motocross World Championship and precedes the highly anticipated match between Los Pumas and the All Blacks at Estadio Kempes in August.

Oceanman Córdoba Argentina will take place at Playa Ceibo – Garden Club de Embalse, showcasing the province's suitability for hosting high-caliber competitions.

Agustín Calleri, President of the Córdoba Sports Agency, expressed his satisfaction with the event's presentation and his commitment to enhancing Córdoba's reputation in tourism and sports. "This is achieved when all sectors collaborate to realize these events, which stimulate the local economy," he added.

Authorities at the presentation underscored the importance of promoting global sporting events that boost regional tourism and economy.

The event was attended by key figures including Darío Capitani, Agustín Calleri, Mario Rivarola (Mayor of Embalse), Roberto Marqués Serra (Oceanman Manager), and Antonio García Castillo (Oceanman Argentina Project Manager).
