▲ Daejeon Jung-gu, guidance on drug misuse education and welfare projects for the elderly

[Global Economic Times] Daejeon Jung-gu announced on the 28th that it conducted drug misuse education and welfare project guidance for seniors in urban and rural areas at the Sanseong-dong Administrative Welfare Center.

This training, which was conducted as part of a local-led specialized project for medical benefit case management, invited a professional instructor (Kim Jin-sook, head of the Daejeon branch of the Korea Anti-Drug Movement Headquarters) to teach elderly medical benefit recipients how to use drugs correctly, how to manage chronic diseases, and the medical benefit system. It was conducted with an explanation of welfare benefits for recipients.

In particular, the training on this day was conducted with easy and fun lectures tailored to the seniors' level, and received a great response from the seniors.

Jung-gu Mayor Kim Je-seon said, “We will continue to provide correct information to seniors and manage medical benefit cases so that they can live a happy and healthy retirement life.”

Meanwhile, Jung-gu also provided drug abuse education to 45 seniors at the Seokgyo-dong Administrative Welfare Center last June.
