Chungcheongnam-do Province Holds Event at Chungnam Social Economy Innovation Town on the 10th… Supports Sustainable Market Access

Chungcheongnam-do Province held a "Public Procurement Expo for Social Economy Enterprises" on the 10th at the Chungnam Social Economy Innovation Town, which opened in Cheongyang, to vitalize the social economy.

This expo was held concurrently with the opening ceremony of the Chungnam Social Economy Innovation Town, attended by Political Affairs Vice Governor Jeon Hyeong-sik, Cheongyang County Mayor Kim Don-gon, provincial council members, and representatives from social economy enterprises.

On this day, 30 participating social economy enterprises from the province showcased over 150 products and services to secure sustainable market access. They also met directly with purchasing managers from businesses and public institutions for one-on-one consultations on-site, promoting the excellence of their products.

This expo provided an opportunity for purchasing managers from local governments and public institutions to understand the public institution preferential procurement system, improve their perception of social enterprises, and strengthen cooperation with these businesses.

A provincial official stated, "The province is taking the lead in discovering excellent products from social economy enterprises and vitalizing the social economy by promoting various market access support projects and quarterly procurement performance management." They added, "We will continue to strive to expand market access for social economy enterprises by establishing a sustainable social economy enterprise ecosystem and strengthening competitiveness."

Meanwhile, since last year, the province has entrusted the Chungnam Institute for Economic Promotion with market access support projects to efficiently assist social economy enterprises with their distribution businesses. The institute is dedicated to advancing distribution channels, establishing a systematic support system, and providing online and offline market access support to enhance the self-reliance of social economy enterprises.
