Chungcheongnam-do Province and the Federation of Korean-American Associations of Chungcheong have agreed to collaborate on attracting and settling Korean-Americans in the province. They will focus on exchange, cooperation, and developing customized programs.

The province announced on the 29th that the Federation of Korean-American Associations of Chungcheong from four regions in the United States is visiting the province for a 3-night, 4-day trip from April 28th to May 1st.

This visit follows Governor Kim Tae-heum's trip to the United States in January, during which he appointed Kim Pyung-soon, President of the Federation of Korean-American Associations of Chungcheong, and Paul Choi, Secretary-General, as honorary ambassadors for the province and invited the Federation to visit. The purpose of this visit is to discuss cooperative measures to attract Korean-Americans and to enhance their understanding of the region, including Naepo New Town.

Participating in this visit are four organizations: the Federation of Korean-American Associations of Chungcheong, the Korean-American Association of Chungcheong in the Northeastern United States, the Korean-American Association of Chungcheong in the Southwestern United States, and the Korean-American Association of Chungcheong in the Midwestern United States.

The province plans to establish an immigration consultation desk at the Chungnam America Office in Los Angeles (LA) within the first half of the year to ensure a comfortable immigration and settlement process for overseas Koreans. Additionally, it will develop and provide customized immigration support programs for Korean-Americans through the Chungnam Foreign Residents Global Center, which opened last month.
