Los Angeles, CA – The Los Angeles Dodgers, fresh off a World Series victory, are continuing their aggressive pursuit of another championship. The team has added another high-profile reliever to their roster, signing veteran right-hander Kirby Yates to a one-year deal worth up to $14 million.

ESPN reported on 29th that the Dodgers have agreed to terms with Yates, who will earn a guaranteed $13 million and can earn an additional $1 million in incentives if he reaches 55 appearances.

Yates, a 37-year-old with extensive Major League experience, has pitched for the Tampa Bay Rays, New York Yankees, Los Angeles Angels, San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves, and Texas Rangers. He has a career 3.17 ERA in 422 games.

The Dodgers have made several significant moves this offseason, including the signings of Cy Young Award winners Blake Snell and Trevor Bauer, Japanese pitching sensation Roki Sasaki, and veteran outfielders Michael Conforto and Cody Bellinger. The team has also retained key players like Justin Turner and Corey Seager.

With the additions of Yates and Tanner Scott, the Dodgers have significantly strengthened their bullpen, a crucial component of any championship team. As the Dodgers look to defend their World Series title, their aggressive approach to free agency has positioned them as one of the favorites to reach the postseason.
