McDonald's Korea announced that it has expanded and relocated its headquarters from Jongno Tower in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to the Booyoung Taepyeong Building in Taepyeong-ro, Jung-gu, while upgrading facilities for employee training and menu development.

The relocation ceremony, held the previous day, was attended by about 150 executives and employees, including CEO Ki-won Kim.

During the event, employees toured the newly established workspaces, training centers, and rest areas, and participated in various programs.

In his commemorative speech, CEO Kim encouraged employees, saying, "This office relocation has a significance that goes far beyond a mere move in space. Let us embark on another leap forward in our new home."

McDonald's Korea stated that it has achieved stable growth during its seven-year stay at Jongno Tower. Building on this expansion and relocation, the company plans to accelerate its mid-to-long-term growth strategy known as "Vision 2030," which targets achieving 2 trillion won in sales and operating 500 stores.

To this end, the company plans to systematically nurture the human resources needed for opening new stores and improving existing ones, while expanding its menu development infrastructure to strengthen menu competitiveness.

At the heart of the new office is the "Hamburger University Learning & Development Center," which can accommodate up to 130 people for simultaneous training. It will run diverse educational programs for both store and headquarters staff.

The center combines the global headquarters' established "Hamburger University" curriculum with proprietary programs tailored to the domestic market environment and the needs of its members. Led by globally certified professional instructors, the center plans to hold over 65 training sessions annually and produce more than 1,500 graduates.

A new store, the "McDonald's Taepyeong Building Branch," has opened in the basement of the headquarters building. Located in Taepyeong-ro, a core commercial district in downtown Seoul, this store features a "Test Kitchen" built for researching and developing new menus, thereby strengthening the company's capability for menu innovation driven by consumer trends.

The brand identity is deeply reflected in the employee workspaces. The "Golden Arches"—McDonald's iconic symbol—were reinterpreted through spatial structures and design elements, with different styles of arches applied to each floor. Collaborative meeting spaces have been nearly doubled in size compared to before, and rest areas such as a cafeteria mimicking a store atmosphere, a wellness room, and massage booths have also been established.

A representative from McDonald's Korea remarked, "This headquarters relocation is meaningful in that it has significantly strengthened our foundation for education and menu development to support continuous growth. We will support our members in communicating and growing more actively in the new space, and continue our efforts to realize our mid-to-long-term vision for 2030."
