Hanoi, Vietnam – A recent survey conducted by Robert Walters, a global recruitment consultancy, has revealed a positive outlook for Vietnam’s job market in 2025. The survey, which polled 84 Vietnamese companies across various industries, found that 82% of businesses are planning salary increases for the coming year.
The survey also indicated that employers are focusing on strengthening their talent acquisition programs through competitive bonus schemes (76%) and comprehensive training and development initiatives (67%).
“The Vietnamese job market is showing promising signs,” said [Name], Country Manager of Robert Walters Vietnam. “Businesses are recognizing the importance of investing in their employees to attract and retain top talent in a competitive market.”
The survey, which included hundreds of respondents across different job roles and levels, highlighted several positive trends. A significant 73% of employees expressed optimism about their career prospects, reflecting a growing confidence in job opportunities.
Salary and benefits emerged as the top contributors to employee satisfaction, with 46% of employees emphasizing the importance of competitive compensation packages, and 77% highlighting the role of bonuses.
While financial incentives and recognition play a vital role in attracting and retaining talent, employees are increasingly valuing the non-monetary aspects of workplace culture, such as friendly colleagues and a supportive and collaborative work environment. Opportunities for personal and professional development, including specialized training programs, flexible working hours, and premium health insurance packages, are increasingly recognized as essential components of an attractive compensation package.
The survey also revealed a strong preference among employees for multinational companies, with up to 99% of respondents expressing a desire to work for international organizations. Key reasons cited include more attractive salaries, clear and structured career development paths, and opportunities to experience a professional working environment aligned with international standards.
According to Robert Walters, businesses are expected to increase hiring in areas such as human resources, legal, and finance in 2025 to support business expansion and growth strategies.
“The results of this survey highlight the growing demand for skilled talent in Vietnam,” said [Name]. “As businesses continue to expand and adapt to the evolving economic landscape, the focus on employee satisfaction and development will be more critical than ever.”
