SEJONG — The "2026 Go-RV-Ing-Rock Festival in Sejong" successfully wrapped up its 3-day, 2-night run amidst an explosive response from camping enthusiasts across the nation, announced the Sejong City Facilities Corporation (acting president Shin Eul-jae) on Monday.
Held from October 23 to 25 at the Sejong Hapgang Camping Site, the festival drew approximately 1,500 campers with about 300 recreational vehicles (RVs) flocking in from all over the country. The massive turnout once again cemented Hapgang's status as a premier camping landmark in South Korea.
Hosted by the Korea RV Industry Association (KRVIA) and sponsored by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Sejong Special Self-Governing City Government, and the Corporation, the event transcended conventional camping. It was organized as a "complex cultural edutainment festival" that seamlessly blended music, leisure, and regional coexistence.
The festival reached its peak on the second day, October 24, with a rich array of programs. Daytime activities such as family sports days, bubble art shows, and magic performances delivered unforgettable memories for families with children. Meanwhile, outdoor exhibition zones showcasing cutting-edge camping cars, tuning parts, and air bounces attracted a continuous stream of visitors throughout the event.
The undisputed highlight was the autumn night "Music Festival." Kicking off with an energetic opening by Bobpins, the star-studded lineup—featuring soul vocalist Bobby Kim, legendary ballad group V.O.S, and the high-energy performances of Cyberger—set the stage ablaze. The cheers and sing-alongs of 1,500 attendees filled the night sky over Hapgang, turning the venue into a crucible of excitement.
The festival also garnered high praise as a "virtuous-cycle consumption festival" that coexists with the local economy. Participants received welcome kits curated with fresh local agricultural specialties from "Singsing Jangteo," Sejong's representative local food direct market. The entire supply sold out instantly, receiving an explosive response. This initiative successfully promoted Sejong's exceptional flavors and tourism assets, significantly contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.
Behind the event's seamless execution lay the Corporation’s meticulous and professional on-site management expertise. Operating a 24-hour real-time cooperative system with the organizers and relevant agencies, the Corporation achieved a "zero-accident festival." Measures included comprehensive pre-event facility safety inspections, smooth traffic and parking route management without bottlenecks, and intensive on-site safety patrols coupled with immediate environmental cleanup.
"The '2026 Go-RV-Ing-Rock Festival in Sejong' served as a momentum to firmly imprint the unrivaled infrastructure and pristine natural environment of the Sejong Hapgang Camping Site onto camping enthusiasts nationwide, while showcasing a successful model of virtuous cycle between camping culture and the local economy," stated Shin Eul-jae, acting president of the Corporation. "We will continue to discover differentiated tourism and cultural content to elevate the Sejong Hapgang Camping Site into a world-class camping and leisure mecca representing South Korea."
