The Chungnam Provincial Government announced on the 15th that it will host the "2026 Chungnam Drone Festa" around the provincial office area starting at 10 a.m. on the 17th.

The event will feature more than 30 diverse programs, including unique hands-on experiences like drone fishing and pop drones, alongside a national drone competition, cutting-edge drone exhibitions, a conference, and a drone light show.

Visitors will have the opportunity to directly pilot drones for unique entertainment while exploring the latest technologies and future development directions of the drone industry.

In particular, the drone light show taking place in the skies above Hongye Park will feature an expanded scale compared to last year, incorporating 3D stereoscopic production technology to present a spectacular scene embroidering the night sky.

In addition, celebratory performances by singers will follow, adding to the autumn night festival atmosphere.

At the conference held at the Chungnam Provincial Library under the theme "Meet the Future of Drone First," experts from Hanwha Aerospace, the Korea Anti-Drone Industry Association, Pusan National University, and Baekseok University will participate to look into advanced technologies in the drone sector and the future of the industry, as well as share related information.

Lim Taek-bin, head of the Land and Spatial Policy Division of the province, stated, "We are preparing a special day ranging from the fun of direct piloting to a stereoscopic drone show unfolding on the stage of the night sky," adding, "We hope you will fully enjoy the diverse charms of drones with your family and friends at the provincial office this Saturday."
