Paraguayan Congress Advances Digital Future with Visit to Taiwan-Paraguay Tech University Site

Asuncion, Paraguay – A significant step towards Paraguay's digital future was marked by a congressional delegation's visit to the construction site of the forthcoming Taiwan-Paraguay University of Technology (UTP). The visit underscored the strong technological collaboration between Paraguay and Taiwan, emphasizing the importance of education and innovation in the nation's development.
Led by Senator Patrick Kemper, Chairman of the Senate's Commission on Science, Technology, Innovation, and Future, the delegation, accompanied by Minister of Information and Communication Technologies (MITIC) Gustavo Villate, assessed the progress of the UTP project.
"Our visit aimed to gather comprehensive details about the university's construction and to strengthen cooperative ties between our commission and MITIC," Senator Kemper stated. "It is vital that the National Congress works closely with the Executive on initiatives that benefit our citizens."
The senator highlighted the transformative potential of the upcoming digital district, set to break ground within months. "This project will significantly boost professional development and educational opportunities, particularly for our youth and entrepreneurs," he noted.
The commission is committed to supporting these endeavors through legislative measures that foster collaboration among academic, governmental, civil, and entrepreneurial sectors. "We are dedicated to creating the necessary tools to ensure the success of this pivotal project," Senator Kemper affirmed.
The Taiwan-Paraguay University of Technology is poised to become a cornerstone for nurturing technological talent and driving digital economic growth in Paraguay.
