In celebration of the 21st "Pregnancy Day," Bucheon City is operating the "Mom-Convenient Taxi" special event—dubbed "Free Outing Month"—throughout October to enhance mobility convenience for expectant mothers, while temporarily expanding the scope of service usage.

The "Mom-Convenient Taxi" is a tailored mobility support service designed to help expectant mothers registered in Bucheon City conveniently use taxis for hospital visits and other essential travel, aiming to make Bucheon a great city to give birth and raise children.

During this event period, the city is broadening the scope of the Mom-Convenient Taxi, which is normally restricted to hospital visits and appointments, allowing pregnant women to freely use it for various daily outings such as shopping, leisure, cultural centers, and social gatherings.

The event targets expectant mothers registered with the Mom-Convenient Taxi service, numbering 6,316 as of August 2026. The service is available from October 1 to October 31. The usage limit remains unchanged at 4 times per month, with a maximum of 4 times per day.

The fare remains the same as before, applying a basic rate of 1,700 won, and if the taxi fare exceeds 13,000 won, the excess amount is paid by the user. Expectant mothers wishing to use the service can apply by contacting the Bucheon City Transportation Vulnerables Mobility Support Center (1588-3815).

Bucheon Mayor Cho Yong-ik stated, "During pregnancy, women can experience mobility inconveniences not only for hospital visits but also for ordinary outings," adding, "We hope this 'Free Outing Month' helps alleviate the transportation burden for expectant mothers and allows them to comfortably enjoy daily outings and leisure."
