The National Gwacheon Science Museum (Director Lee Choong-won) will operate autumn science culture programs featuring exhibitions, festivals, performances, experiences, explorations, and lectures under the theme of "Retro & Future" for two months from October to November. This event is structured so that visitors can have a new experience every time they visit by linking the museum's representative contents—such as dinosaurs, space, AI, and advanced technology—with special programs tailored to major autumn milestones such as National Foundation Day, Hangeul Day, Halloween, the museum’s opening anniversary, and the CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test).

The representative program for October is the "Retro Future Festival," which will be held from October 3 to 18, National Foundation Day. It connects past play with future technology in a unique format where visitors become mentors to a newly awakened baby robot named "G1," helping to develop the robot's physical body, language, and intelligence. Programs such as the "Retro Sports Day Energy Race," "Red Light, Green Light," and "Ddakji-chigi" will run alongside "AI Motion Sports," "Nintendo Ring Fit Competition," and "AR Exhibition Tour Mission," presenting a science festival that generations can enjoy together physically. It provides an experience where parents' childhood games become fresh content for children, and traditional play meets future technologies like AI and AR.

In addition, around October 9, Hangeul Day commemoration programs will be operated, including "Hangeul Day with a Lot to See," a "Hangeul Day Special Observation Event," "Nacre Hangeul Keyring" making experiences, and "Hangeul Pongdang, Science Kungkwang." During the Halloween season at the end of October, unique exploration and mission programs utilizing dinosaurs, insects, and natural history will be held, such as "Challenge & Go: Halloween Edition," "Stamp Tour: Find Hero-nyang," "Ten Thousand Creepy Games," "Suspicious Natural History Hall: Don't Wake Up the Dinosaurs," and "A Suspicious Week at the Insect Hall (Spider Commentary)."

Furthermore, on the night of the last day of October, a unique and special convergence science concert titled "Jazz and Physics"—where physics harmonizes with the free sentiment of jazz to transform the science museum into a sophisticated jazz club—will unfold in the central hall. On November 27, an adult-oriented nighttime convergence experience program titled "About Space," which deeply examines the meaning of space contained in music and literature across science, philosophy, and art, will be held, presenting a rich feast of science culture to adult visitors.

On November 14, the museum's opening anniversary, opening anniversary programs including the on-site finals of the "AI Shin-gwageo-je (New Gwageo Examination)" will be operated. On November 24, the Advanced Technology Hall and Science Exploration Hall will return to visitors with a fresh makeover. The Advanced Technology Hall will newly showcase exhibitions on hydrogen energy and AI, while the Science Exploration Hall will welcome visitors with a total of 26 new exhibits, including 20 electricity and electromagnetic-related exhibits through collaboration with the Korea Electric Power Corporation (such as "Electromagnetic Balance Game") and 6 exhibits on scientific principles in daily life (such as "Air Cannon").

Throughout the two months, education and lectures that can be participated in by everyone from toddlers, children, teenagers, and families to adults will continue. Special science affection programs for CSAT test-takers and events like "Super Moon Live Broadcast and Observation" will also provide diverse options for teenagers looking to spend unique time with friends after the exam.

Lee Choong-won, Director of the National Gwacheon Science Museum, stated, "This autumn festival is a single story connecting the science we have passed through, the science we are experiencing now, and the science we will meet in the future," adding, "We hope that everyone—families, teenagers, and adults alike—can discover new joys suited to themselves at the science museum this autumn." Detailed information, including schedules and participation methods for each program, can be checked on the National Gwacheon Science Museum website and the detailed page of the Ministry of Science and ICT press release.
