The ‘2026 Chungnam Eco-Friendly Farmers Convention’ held on the 24th… featuring eco-friendly agricultural product exhibitions and hands-on experiences

Eco-friendly farmers in South Chungcheong Province gathered in one place to share the value of eco-friendly farming and strengthen their commitment to continuous practice.

The province announced that the ‘2026 Chungnam Eco-Friendly Farmers Convention’ was held on the 24th at the South Gate Square of the Provincial Government building, with around 500 eco-friendly farmers and other participants from across the province in attendance.

The event was hosted by the Chungnam Eco-Friendly Agriculture Association and sponsored by the provincial government and Hongseong County.

Amid growing importance in responding to the climate crisis and realizing carbon neutrality, this event was organized to spread the public utility values of eco-friendly agriculture and boost the pride of farmers who have practiced eco-friendly farming despite difficult agricultural conditions.

The event featured awards for individuals who contributed to the development of eco-friendly agriculture in the province, as well as exhibitions and promotions of eco-friendly agricultural products. Participants shared their farming achievements and pledged to continuously practice eco-friendly agriculture.

In particular, linked with the Hongseong Organic Festa, participatory programs such as an organic market and hands-on experience events were operated for visitors, promoting the excellence of the province's eco-friendly agricultural products and the importance of eco-friendly farming.

Based on the ‘6th Chungnam Eco-Friendly Agriculture Promotion 5-Year Plan’ established this year, the province plans to expand the foundation for sustainable eco-friendly agriculture by step-by-step implementation of alleviating management cost burdens for eco-friendly farmers and providing customized facility support.

A provincial official stated, "We express our gratitude to the eco-friendly farmers who have strived to produce healthy food and preserve the agricultural environment despite difficult farming conditions," adding, "We hope this convention served as an opportunity to foster unity among farmers and reflect upon the value of eco-friendly agriculture."
