To lay groundwork for 2027-2029 treatment improvement plan based on survey results

 

Daejeon City will conduct its '5th Survey on the Treatment of Social Welfare Facility Workers' starting on the 21st, aiming to comprehensively understand the working environment and treatment of social welfare facility employees in the region.

This survey is a regular one, conducted every three years in accordance with the "Daejeon Metropolitan City Ordinance on the Treatment and Status Improvement of Social Workers," enacted in 2013. The results will serve as fundamental data for establishing the 5th support plan for treatment improvement, which will be implemented from 2027 to 2029.

The survey targets 300 selected social welfare facilities and 1,100 workers in Daejeon City. An online survey will be conducted for approximately one month, from July 21st to August 15th, and group interviews will also be held concurrently for in-depth analysis.

Based on the 2022 survey, Daejeon City has implemented practical policies for improving treatment, including: ▲establishing a Daejeon-type wage system, ▲providing comprehensive health check-up costs and health check-up leave, ▲paid sick leave system, ▲fixed meal allowance support, and ▲long-term service leave system. The results of this 5th survey are also expected to contribute to strengthening workers' commitment to long-term service, enhancing job satisfaction, and improving the quality of social welfare services.

The survey is supervised by the Daejeon Social Service Agency and is divided into a facility survey and a worker survey.

Survey items include: ▲current status of facilities and workers, ▲working conditions and environment, and ▲policy satisfaction and areas for improvement. This year, in particular, the plan is to more thoroughly diagnose on-site difficulties by strengthening items directly related to the working environment, such as work-life balance, human rights, and safety.
