Chungnam Province's Close On-site Support in China Bears Fruit in Actual Exports

Chungnam China Office achieves $12,600 in seasoned laver exports for manufacturing company J, with expectations of an additional $100,000 in exports

The close, on-site support provided by the Chungnam Provincial China Office is successfully driving local enterprises into the Chinese market and expanding their export volumes.

The Chungnam China Office announced on the 6th that company J, a local seasoned laver manufacturer, has achieved an export performance of approximately $12,000 to China.

Through continuous support for business consultations between company J and a local Chinese buyer, the office helped lead an initial export of $2,600 last July. Following steady product promotion and marketing efforts, the office recently facilitated the shipment of an additional volume worth $10,000 (one container).

Given the positive market response in China, the provincial government expects an additional export scale of 10 containers (worth $100,000) by the first half of next year.

This achievement stands out as a successful case where a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with a buyer discovered at a provincial export consultation event was successfully converted into actual exports, thanks to the China Office’s continuous local follow-up, consultations, and promotional backing rather than a one-time meeting.

Moving forward, Chungnam Province plans to further strengthen local buyer discovery, consultation, and promotional support through its China Office to bolster local companies' entry into the Chinese market and expand export growth.

"This achievement is the result of continuous local communication and support following the export consultation event," a provincial official said. "We will continue to dedicate our efforts to local support so that business consultations by our provincial companies can lead directly to actual contracts and exports."
