Chungcheongnam-do is stepping up its local marketing efforts to help regional companies break into overseas markets and expand their export pathways.
The province’s Germany Office announced on the 3rd (local time) that it participated in the "Korea Story Festival" held in Bratislava, Slovakia. The office supported the promotion and sales of products from local cosmetics companies while establishing foundations for European market expansion through connections with local buyers.
Hosted and organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Slovakia, this event was the first comprehensive Korean culture festival ever held in the country. It took place in the central square of the Aupark shopping mall in the capital city of Bratislava.
The festival introduced various Korean cultural contents, including K-beauty and K-food, as well as Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) experiences and film screenings, introducing Korean culture and products to local citizens and retail industry professionals.

At the event, the province promoted and sold 21 items from five local cosmetics companies. The participating companies were:
Raphas (Cheonan)
CS Company (Yesan)
AR Company (Cheonan)
Jung Cosmetic (Asan)
Coreana Cosmetics (Cheonan)
In particular, the on-site cosmetics sales achieved approximately €4,000 in performance on the day of the event. Separately, the office facilitated connections between local cosmetics buyers and provincial companies, laying the groundwork for follow-up consultations and trade expansions.

This served as an opportunity to directly introduce the province's cosmetics to local consumers, gauge European market demand, and broaden practical export opportunities.
A provincial official stated, "By actively utilizing the European local network of our Germany Office and cooperation among overseas institutions, we will continuously support local small and medium-sized enterprises from product promotion to discovering local buyers and connecting them to distribution channels."
Moving forward, the province plans to expand the European market entry of outstanding products through localized marketing and buyer discovery using its overseas offices, thereby strengthening the export competitiveness of regional businesses.
