DL E&C Unveils Blueprint for 'ACRO Seongsu'... "Collaborating with Global Masters"

DL E&C announced its blueprint on the 14th to establish the absolute standard for high-end residential housing in Seongsu Strategic Maintenance Zone District 2 (Seongsu District 2) by joining hands with world-renowned design masters.

The architectural design will be led by the global design group 'Arcadis', while the community design will be entrusted to 'Yabu Pushelberg', a studio acclaimed for crafting spaces for world-class luxury brands like Aman and Four Seasons. Landscape design will be handled by 'Martha Schwartz Partners (MSP)', which transformed the paradigm of modern landscape architecture, and landscape lighting design will be overseen by 'Licht Kunst Licht', the lighting design studio behind the Cologne Cathedral. By encapsulating the artistic reasoning and accumulated philosophy of these visionary masters into a single masterpiece named 'ACRO Seongsu', the company aims to complete an irreplaceable landmark that shines brighter over time.

The core concept proposed by DL E&C for ACRO Seongsu is 'KEYSTONE'. The keystone refers to the central stone at the apex of an arch structure that completes the balance of force and structure for the entire building. Just as Soho in New York or Shoreditch in London serve as focal points where global brands, culture, taste, and capital converge, the name embodies the aspiration for ACRO Seongsu to become the single landmark that converges all the values of Seongsu and brings order to its skyline. Arcadis is a global architecture, engineering, and consulting group headquartered in the Netherlands and the United States, having executed urban development, residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects across more than 30 countries worldwide.

The community design for ACRO Seongsu will be led by Yabu Pushelberg, a global design studio based in Toronto, Canada, and New York, USA.

Yabu Pushelberg plans to showcase the pinnacle of lifestyle by elevating the private community 'CLUB ACRO' exclusively for residents and the public space design. Centered around the 'Signature Lounge', which seamlessly connects all community and daily circulation routes while achieving a sense of openness through double-height spaces and light-filled leisure, the studio has crafted spatial designs with high sensitivity and refined moods. Another notable feature is the multidimensional composition of the community, ensuring that the artistic journey on the ground continues up to the sky-high Han River view spaces. Furthermore, DL E&C plans to introduce the 'Designer's Edition', an interior style exclusively tailored for ACRO Seongsu in collaboration with Yabu Pushelberg, bringing global high-end sensibilities right into the private residences.

ACRO Seongsu will also be enhanced by the landscape design of MSP—which introduced contemporary art grammar to 1980s landscape architecture and revolutionized the field—along with the landscape lighting design of Licht Kunst Licht, a design studio based in Bonn and Berlin that explores the true essence of light.

An official from DL E&C stated, "ACRO Seongsu will redefine the value of Seongsu, where the tastes and culture of the era converge, establishing itself as a new symbol of the city. Alongside global masters, we will complete a single landmark that sets the absolute standard for high-end housing through unparalleled design and elegance prepared exclusively for Seongsu District 2."
