A unique zombie running event unfolding along the coast of Taejongdae on October 31st at 4:44 PM
An experiential night tourism content combining Taejongdae’s coastal scenery, a 4-km run, and a zombie theme

The Busan Tourism Organization (President Lee Jeong-sil, hereinafter referred to as the BTO) announced on the 15th that it will host the "2026 Taejongdae BEAT-ON Zombie Race" across the Taejongdae Resort area on Saturday, October 31st, in celebration of Halloween.

The "Taejongdae BEAT-ON Zombie Race" is an experiential tourism content combining running and a zombie theme against the backdrop of Taejongdae's coastal scenery, lighthouse, and walking trails—representative tourist attractions of Busan. It is designed so that participants can directly become the protagonists of the content and experience Taejongdae, moving away from simple sightseeing.

In particular, starting on Halloween Day, October 31st, at 4:44 PM, this event will be held as a unique running program where participants experience a zombie theme while running a 4-kilometer course. Along with zombie-concept staging, participants can run through Taejongdae's coastal landscapes and experience a charm of Taejongdae different from usual.

Before the race begins, programs to boost the on-site atmosphere—such as zombie-themed stretching and cheerleading—will be prepared, and video presentations utilizing the large screen of the Taejongdae CGV Drive-in Theater are also scheduled to be showcased.

After the race concludes, the "ZPP (Zombie Play Place)" will be operated so that participants can stay on-site and enjoy themselves rather than heading straight home. Zombie-themed games, experiential programs, and a record photo zone will be arranged to continue the Halloween atmosphere even after the run.

In addition, various stage programs such as EDM performances, dance, and performances will be held at the assembly point. Notably, through programs including an EDM performance by New Jeans-nim (comedian Yoon Sung-ho), the tension and energy of the race are planned to be carried over into the joy of a festival.

An official from the Busan Tourism Organization stated, "The Taejongdae BEAT-ON Zombie Race is a new form of tourism content that combines Taejongdae's beautiful natural scenery with running, Halloween, music, and experiences," adding, "We will prepare a safe and enjoyable event so that citizens and tourists can create special memories at Taejongdae on Halloween Day."

Meanwhile, the BTO plans to continuously discover experiential and night tourism content utilizing Taejongdae's tourism resources to extend the length of stay for tourists and develop Taejongdae into a representative tourism content space in Busan.
