The "2026 Pohang Marine Corps Cultural Festival" will be held for two days on November 14–15 around "Marine Street" in Ocheon-eup, Nam-gu, Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, and the Marine Corps 1st Division base.

According to the City of Pohang on the 6th, the festival is jointly operated by the city, the Gyeonggi and Pohang branches of the Marine Corps Veterans Association, and the Marine Corps 1st Division. It features a wide array of hands-on events and Marine Corps equipment exhibitions.

Along Marine Street near the 1st Division's West Gate Intersection, food markets and experience booths will be set up, accompanied by a spectacular military parade.

Family-friendly interactive contents are also prepared, including Marine Corps demonstration performances and combat fitness experiences.

The Marine Corps 1st Division will open its base to the public, allowing visitors to experience Marine Corps equipment and culture that are usually difficult to access, while the city will establish a family resting area equipped with nursing rooms.

Pohang Mayor Park Yong-sun stated, "We will prepare this event so that citizens and tourists can experience the shared history between the Marine Corps and Pohang up close."
