As autumn deepens, a stage is set to bring arts and culture closer to the daily lives of citizens.
The Daejeon Metropolitan Arts Troupe announced that it will host the 'Harmonious Cultural Walk' performances at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, October 20, and Thursday, October 22, at the auditorium of Daejeon Banseok Elementary School.
The 'Harmonious Cultural Walk' is a program designed for local residents to comfortably enjoy high-level culture and arts right within their neighborhoods. By directly visiting various local communities, the Daejeon Metropolitan Arts Troupe is adding the joy of culture and arts to citizens' everyday lives.
On October 20, the Daejeon Metropolitan Dance Theater will present its signature brand performance, 'Pinocchio: A Fairy Tale Painted Through Dance.'
By combining fairy tale stories with vibrant dances, music, colorful stage direction, and storytelling, this production offers rich imagination for children and a nostalgic sense of childhood wonder for adults. The heartwarming journey of the wooden puppet Pinocchio searching for a human heart is expressed through beautiful choreography, inviting the whole family into a magical fairy-tale world.
Following this, on October 22, the Daejeon Metropolitan Youth Choir will color the autumn night with beautiful harmonies. They will showcase a variety of musical genres using the clear, energetic voices unique to youth, delivering the bright and vibrant charm of choral music.
Under the baton of Conductor Kwang-seok Chang, soprano Young-won Choi and baritone Byung-kwon Jeon will join as collaborative artists to enrich the stage. Through a combination of delicate harmonies and warm melodies, the performance is expected to deliver deep resonance and emotional moving experiences to the citizens on an autumn night.
An official from the Daejeon Metropolitan Arts Troupe shared, "We hope citizens can enjoy performances close to everyday life while sharing the autumn atmosphere and the joy given by arts and culture. We will continue to expand opportunities for cultural enjoyment by visiting various local living areas with diverse cultural programs."
The performances are free of charge, and admission is on a first-come, first-served basis without the need for advance reservations. For more details, please visit the Daejeon Metropolitan Arts Troupe website or contact the Performance Business Support Division (☎ 042-270-8331~2).
