Samcheok City announced that it will host the '11th Samcheok Chrysanthemum Exhibition' for 31 days, starting from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, November 22, along the Samcheok Beach area.

Under the theme 'Today and Tomorrow of Samcheok Agriculture Encountered through Chrysanthemums,' this year’s exhibition is designed to introduce local agricultural specialties and technologies alongside chrysanthemum displays, combined with various hands-on experiences and performances so that citizens and visitors can enjoy both the autumn season and agriculture in Samcheok.

Along Samcheok Beach, approximately 10,500 chrysanthemums will be displayed, including 70 sculptural and multi-stemmed works, 430 large-flowered chrysanthemums, and 10,000 small-flowered chrysanthemums. Sculptures symbolizing Samcheok, such as General Isabu, animal figures like dinosaurs, puppies, and tigers, as well as familiar character sculptures, will fill various parts of the exhibition site. Night lighting will be installed on the artworks to showcase different charms during day and night. It is expected to provide enjoyable sights for family visitors, as children can also explore the exhibition with fun.

A sales and experience zone will also be operated where visitors can discover agricultural specialties produced in Samcheok alongside chrysanthemums. From October 23 to November 8, local farmers and agricultural organizations will participate to exhibit, promote, and sell local agricultural specialties, while hands-on programs such as general bonsai and chrysanthemum bonsai exhibitions, and making small chrysanthemum mini bouquets will also be prepared.

The future vision of Samcheok agriculture can also be explored. From October 26 to November 8, at the promotional booth within the exhibition venue, relevant policies will be publicized focusing on smart agriculture and young farming, presenting the future direction of Samcheok agriculture in pace with the changing agricultural environment.

Throughout the exhibition period, cultural performances to enjoy alongside the chrysanthemums will continue. Local clubs and art teams will participate at the Samcheok Beach stage performance venue to showcase various performances such as saxophone, acoustic guitar, traditional Korean music, and wind instrument performances, providing citizens and tourists with an opportunity to enjoy cultural performances alongside chrysanthemum appreciation.

An official from Samcheok City stated, "We have prepared this event so that visitors can experience the beauty of chrysanthemums together with local agricultural specialties, agricultural technology, and the changing face of Samcheok agriculture all in one place," adding, "As we have prepared various attractions, experiences, and performances that children can enjoy together, we hope families and friends will visit Samcheok Beach to enjoy the deepening autumn with chrysanthemums."
